Tim Hill has been an active composer for instrumental and vocal music for the last twenty years. He received his Masters degree in Music Composition from Shenandoah Conservatory and Bachelors of Music Education degree from West Virginia University. He has studied composition and arranging with Jonathan Newman and John Hendricks, as well as, saxophone with Curtis Johnson.

Hill taught high school jazz ensemble and middle school general music and has a passion for educating the next generation of musicians. In 2006, he traveled to Krakow, Poland, where he taught at the International Summer Jazz Academy and performed on Polish Jazz Radio.

He has had the opportunity to arrange music for artists Reba McEntire, Craig Campbell, The Texas Tenors, Jack Wagner, Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat, Guy Penrod, and Rosephanye Powell. His arrangements have been performed on ABC and Hallmark television stations, as well as specials by the Country Music Association. His music has been performed for the President of the United States and many other high-ranking officials. His works have also been performed by middle school, high school, collegiate, and professional ensembles. He currently holds the position as staff arranger with the United States Navy Band in Washington D.C.

In his free time, he enjoys playing billiards and backgammon, mowing his lawn, and spending time with his wife and dog Ruby.
